“Sharrow is amazing. So good choice on the moving here front”
Go Sheffield, September 2005
What do you think of Sharrow? When you travel through it, or go to work, or open your door, how do you feel about it? What
do you want to see in the future for Sharrow: how should it look? How should it feel? What do you want to do here?
Hello! Sharrow is about asking you these questions, and coming up with a new, amazing vision of the area, one that we can
all share. Hello! Sharrow is also a chance to talk about what makes Sharrow great, and our chance to keep you in touch with
what’s changing in the area.
At the moment, there are two big things going on.
We’re thinking about the future of Sharrow generally. We are putting together a brilliant and ambitious masterplan
for the area. We’ve been asking you what you think of the different parts of Sharrow; Bramall Lane, London Road
and John Street, and what you want to see change and happen in these places. Your ideas have fed into a draft plan
which we should have before the spring.

Second is the Sharrow Project. The Sharrow Project
has been going for the past two years. The idea is to improve local services by relocating and merging Sharrow
Junior School with Sharrow Nursery and Infants School. This will also mean the development of a new central Hub of community
facilities on Sharrow Lane. We’ve already asked you what you think the Hub should provide,
and now we have a broad vision for the building. Now we need to finalise these ideas and check them out with you as we draw
up final plans for the new buildings.
So from now on, there’ll be lots of different chances
for you to have your say about Sharrow. You’ll also be able to use websites, postcards and emails to let us know.
