Hot Meals Cooked With Fresh Ingredients

During school holidays we provide a healthy, hot cooked meal for all children attending Highfield Adventure Playground through the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme and Meals and More. Food is served at around 4pm each day and always vegetarian. If there are any leftover portions we are happy to share these with grown-ups attending our sessions too – sometimes there’s even enough to take home! We also regularly provide food or food activities at our youth club sessions. Our larger events such as Sharrow Festival and Autumn Carnival also feature food and pop-up kitchens from our friends at Mums United.

Affordable, healthy meals are also available Monday – Friday from the Food Works Café based at Sharrow Old Junior School. The café offers a warm welcoming environment where you can purchase a meal for as little as £1. They serve meals 12noon until 2pm and also offer coffees and cakes 9am until 3pm.
